HIGHLAND, IL (KTVI - FOX2now.com) -
Foul language spray painted on a church in Highland Illinois has church members and local citizens saddened and upset. It happened sometime Wednesday into Thursday. Vandals used green spray paint to write the "f-word" followed by the word "God" on Highland Community Church. Vandals also drew an upside down cross and wrote "welcome to hell" on a church door.
This is the second time in as many days that an area church has been vandalized. Thursday FOX 2 reported the vandalism of a Fulton, Missouri, church.
Highland police have no reason to believe the two incidents are related. Church secretary Mary McWorter told FOX 2, "To deface a church and put those words against God it's just unspeakable I don't know how anyone could attempt to write those words about god."
Police have no suspects and are asking anyone with information to call.
