New information has surfaced in the investigation into the deaths of Sheri Coleman and her sons Gavin and Garett. The FOX Files has learned that one of the top forensic experts in the nation has been consulted by the Major Case Squad before Tuesday night's arrest of Chris Coleman.
Dr. Michael Baden, the former New York City medical examiner, provided a second opinion regarding the time of death of the victims. He determined they were killed in a window between 3am and 5am, which would put Chris Coleman in the home at the time of death.
Police sources wouldn't say if this information played a role in their decision to move forward with an arrest.
FOX 2 has also learned that the family of Sheri Coleman will file a wrongful death lawsuit against Chris Coleman early next week.
Cousin Enrico Mirabelli told me this is not to make any money. He says it's to fight "any ill gotten gain," meaning the Weiss family wants to take back anything Chris Coleman may have profited from if he killed his wife and kids.
There's also new information regarding the graffiti spray painted on the walls of the home. In large letters, "I told you so," and "punished" are sprayed on the walls of the house.
