SOUTH ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - Police in St. Louis are searching for several suspects they say are responsible for an early morning home invasion and shooting. Police tell FOX 2 News that around midnight the suspects broke into the home around DeTonty and Klemm in South St. Louis. The home is one unit of a two story brick duplex. One male inside the home was shot during crime. Police believe up to five suspects fled the crime scene in a silver Chevrolet Impala.

It is not clear this morning if the victim is the homeowner or someone who was visiting the house. The extent of the victim's injuries are not considered life threatening.

So far this morning police are not saying if anything was taken from the home.
