St. Louis Metropolitan Police say that two overnight shootings in St Louis City could be related. The first happened around 11:45pm in the 2900 block of James Cool Papa Bell. Two people were shot. A 24 year old male was shot multiple times and is listed in critical condition. A 12 year old boy was shot twice in leg. He is listed in stable condition.
The man was exiting his home on one side of the street and the boy was leaving his house on other side of street. Two cars pulled up and stopped in front of the two and began firing. Police do not know if the two were shot at random or were being targeted. The two cars involved are reportly an SUV and a green Ford Taurus with heavily tinted windows.
Two hours later, around 1:45am, there was another shooting at Jefferson and Market. A man driving down street when reportedly green Ford Taurus with heavily tinted windows pulled up and someone inside began firing. The man in the street was man shot in side of mouth. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
