CRESTWOOD, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) -
St. Louis County Police are investigating a possible dognapping that may also result in assault charges. A County officer and one from Crestwood were struck by a suspect's vehicle as she fled from her home in the 1400 block of Trelane in Crestwood Saturday morning. The officers had attempted to talk to her about a dog stolen in the Affton area earlier in the week. Neighbor Brad Simon said she had refused to open her door and demanded police get a search warrant. As they waited for a warrant, she sneaked out of the home and reached her car.
"She jumps in her car and all the cops rush over here and hold her at gun point she backs into three of them," he said. Crestwood police said one of their officers and a County officer suffered minor injuries. The woman fled the scene driving across two front lawns to get away.
Saturday night St. Louis County Police would only say the case was under investigation.
