A married mother of two from Waterloo is accused of trying to have sex with an Arnold boy about the same age as her own children. 38 year old Christie Bradley is charged federally with coercion and enticement of a minor, and she could face additional charges by the end of the week.Investigators say they arrested her when she showed up Wednesday at the home of a 13 year old Arnold boy to have sex with him.
"It's disturbing," said Arnold Police Chief Bob Shockey about the accusations against Bradley.
Shockey says Arnold police got a complaint and acted fast calling in the FBI.
Shockey told us, "Our detectives got the information and pretty quickly saw there was a problem. And that's when we reached out to the Attorney General's office."
Court documents say the 13 year old Arnold boy told police that Bradley kissed him on the lips at his home on September 19th. He also told police that Bradley communicated with him through Facebook and text messages. The documents say an investigator started posing as the boy and communicated with Bradley through text messages.
We're told several sexually explicit messages were exchanged between Bradley and the undercover agent.
Among them- the agent asked Bradley, "Do I need to get condoms? Or do u have some?" Bradley allegedly replied, "I'll get some. Then u don't have 2 worry bout gettn caught with them. We have 2 use them."
Bradley also sent another message asking, "Do u want me 4 me or do u want me 4 the sex."
"It is troubling to hear," said Shockey.
Court documents say arrangements were made for Bradley to show up at the teen's home Wdnesday for sex. We're told she showed up with lingerie and condoms and was arrested without incident.
"A predator is a predator, male, female, it doesn't make any difference; if they break the law they should go to jail and that's where this woman is hopefully going to go," explained Shockey.
Shockey tells us his office is going to pursue state charges against Bradley later this week.
The court documents also reveal that Bradley allegedly said to the undercover agent during their text messaging back and forth that she loved the 13 year old and planned to marry him after he graduated.
Bradley's attorney had no comment as he left the courthouse Wednesday afternoon after Bradley's initial appearance.
Bradley is behind bars.
