The St. Louis Rams home opener vs. the Green Bay Packers will air on KTVI FOX 2. The Rams and Packers will kickoff at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday, September 27 at 12 p.m.Chris Myers and former Rams' quarterback Trent Green are the announcers for the FOX broadcast.
The Rams will retire the jersey of Hall of Fame defensive end David "Deacon" Jones in a pre-game ceremony beginning at 11:40 a.m. Jones, who coined the term "sack the quarterback," was nicknamed the Secretary of Defense and was widely considered one of the greatest defensive players to play the game. He recorded a team-best 159.5 sacks with the Rams (1961-71) and 173.5 for his career.
