SOUTH ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI - FOX2now.com) -
St. Louis almost set a record Saturday: you'd have to go back to the 1940's to find a warmer November 7th. With all the wet, cold, weather, it sure seemed like November back in October. But warm weather made a comeback in St. Louis on Saturday.
No one seemed to see this coming. The warm sun glowed through the trees. Parents took in their kids soccer games in shorts. Kids could put their coats back in the closets.
South city resident Barb Thibodeau says, "It is unbelievable. What is this, November 7th? I guess it's to make up for the whole month of October, when we froze, when we were wet. Now it's gorgeous. What a gift."
Veterans parade marchers downtown couldn't remember a Veterans Day parade like this one.
Mary Ann Linton says, " Last year, we had to huddle with scarves and coats. The year before it was sleeting, very cold, very sparse turnout. Isn't it wonderful."
