They have hit areas in North St. Louis County, Lake St. Louis, and Kirkwood. The scam involves clean cut kids who say they're selling magazine subscriptions to help the baseball team. They'll say whatever money is left will be used to buy books for sick kids.
Patty Donze, the victim who spoke to FOX 2, says she wrote a check for $144 to "Quality Subscriptions, Inc."
