Archbishop Robert Carlson has approved a three percent pay raise for all teachers in the St. Louis Archdiocesan Schools for the 2010-2011 school year.On the recommendation of the Archdiocesan Board of Catholic Education, Archbishop Carlson approved the raises for both parish elementary and secondary teachers; that had been ratified by the St. Louis Archdiocesan Teachers Association.
The Catholic Education Office says teacher salaries in the parish elementary schools range from $25,529 to $56,004, while the salaries for high school teachers will range from $27,082 to $59,690. Teachers had been under a pay freeze for the current school year, along with archdiocese employees.
