CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com)—
There could be some traffic headaches for folks crossing the Missouri River on westbound 40. MoDOT announced Wednesday afternoon that the right two lanes of the bridge will be shut down beginning at 9pm. Officials plan to re-open the obstructed lanes by 5am Thursday.Crews are conducting emergency repairs on an expansion joint. It's the same problem that led to lanes being closed on the I-70 bridge into St. Charles county last weekend into this week.
Officials are recommending people who would normally take 40 consider the Page Avenue (364) crossing, or Interstate 70.
