Late Thursday afternoon police found the hit and run driver they say sent more than a dozen Cahokia High School students to the emergency room. The driver allegedly slammed into a parked school bus, jolting the kids on board, then took off.
39 students were on board the First Student bus taking kids to the east campus of Cahokia High School. The bus stopped at a four way stop sign at Jerome and Paris when the second driver slammed into the rear.
Eighteen kids were taken to area emergency rooms.
