Drivers beware in Creve Coeur. New red light cameras go on-line this week. The city already has some red light cameras, new ones will be installed at the New Ballas and Olive intersection. For the first week drivers will be issued warnings. After that they will get a ticket that carries a one hundred dollar fine. Police say the photo enforcement program has made intersections safer.Since the red light cameras went into operation there's been a 45 percent drop in injury accident overall in Creve Coeur. Police believe the cameras have decreased the amount of red light runners throughout all of the town.
