The Madison County Sheriff's Department wants to know more about a man who approached a child walking home in Granite City. It happened on Wednesday when a Mitchell Elementary school student told his mother a man in a black pick-up truck stopped and asked if he needed a ride home. The student was walking on Lennox Avenue in Granite City. Police say the boy told the man no and the truck continued driving north on Lennox.The man is described as a white mail in his late 50s or early 60s. He was bald on top with medium length hair on the sides. Police say he was wearing a white shirt and driving 4-door Dodge Ram Pickup, possibly between a 2004 2008 model.
The boy says he never saw the truck or the man in the neighborhood before. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
