ST. LOUIS (KTVI - FOX2now.com) - It's the largest contract in St. Louis Cardinals history. Outfielder Matt Holliday has agreed to a seven year deal worth about $120-million. Much of that cost may well be deferred by Cardinal fans.

Higher ticket prices could be coming sooner rather than later in order to pay for Holliday now and Albert Pujols later. That's because it's the fans in the stands who provide most of St. Louis's baseball revenue.
