A one-year-old is okay and his father is happy after rescuing the child from their burning home Tuesday morning. It happened around 4:00 a.m. in the 5900 block of Theodore. A grandmother, her adult son and her 3 grandchildren ages 1,2 and 3 lived there. They thought everyone had made it out safely but then realized the one year old was trapped in the burning home. The father and a 24 year old neighbor, Kenneth Parker, went into action.They first tried but failed to kick in a side door. They then removed a window air conditioner. The father made it inside and brought the baby outside. The one year old is expected to survive. Fire officials blame the blaze on an electrical problem. The grandmother told FOX 2she has no insurance.
