The Department of Homeland Security has sent its top medical official to St. Louis to brief doctors on progress against the swine flu. Dr. Alexander Garza is a St. Louis native and former combat surgeon.
The reason for Homeland Security's interest in the battle with H1N1 is simple: Many of the methods being used to fight the virus are the same that'd be used to fight bio-terrorism.
