A Bond County woman has died from the H1N1 virus. The Madison County Coroner says Brooke Williams, 18 of Pocahontas died November 5 after having a heart attack at her home. Family members say she complained about flu-like symptoms that day. An autopsy later confirmed she had H1N1. Williams had other health problems including Cerebal Palsy and a seizure disorder.
Pocahontas, IL is in Bond County but Williams was taken to a hospital in Highland, IL where she later died. Highland is in Madison County.
