Authorities Uncover Large Meth Lab In Bonne Terre
Two people have been arrested after authorities say they uncovered one of the biggest methamphetamine labs in St. Francois County. The Daily Journal reported that a deputy on his way home from work early Tuesday noticed the smell of meth ingredients. He and other officers found three pounds of ephedrine, several ounces of methamphetamine, meth precursors, marijuana and several weapons, most of it in plain sight.

Ephedrine is the ingredient extracted from pseudoephedrine pills in order to manufacture methamphetamine.

Police said a Bonne Terre man and woman were arrested. Federal charges are expected to be filed by the U.S. Attorney's office.
