A man is killed on his way to work when a driver slams into his motorcycle. Police have reason to believe the driver may have been high. The victim's wife knew something was very wrong when she didn't get her morning text message.David Null and his wife Becky have an agreement for the days he rides his motorcycle to work. He sends a text message when he gets there safely. She didn't get a text this morning so she and her dad went out looking for him.
He died at Craig and Olive when police say a 20 year old woman hit a light pole to her right, then bounced all the way over into the interior lane striking Null on his motorcycle. David null is the father of a 17 month old and his wife has another baby on the way. Null's father in law, David Kozeny plans to help fill the role of father figure.
"I just keep thinking about the fact that he wont be there when his second son is born. I also keep on thinking about Austin who is 17 months old and probably wont even remember his Dad."said David Kozeny
Police arrested the driver because of the seriousness of this accident. The driver, Judy Tran, is being charged with involuntary manslaughter, assault In the second degree and posession of marijuana.
David Null's family says they're setting up a trust to help his widow and their children. They're hoping for donations instead of flowers.
