Friends and family are come together to remember a postal service worker who was struck by lightning and killed while delivering mail. A candlelight vigil was held at the site where the tragedy happened.Christine's loved one like her Aunt Tamara Quinn still can't believe shes is gone. Christine Jones, who had worked for the postal service for four and a half years, was delivering mail on Tuesday afternoon when she was struck by lightning and killed near a tree. A Memorial has gone up at the site of the lightning strike.
Christine's family says she was always happy and was planning to marry her fiance in the next couple of weeks. They say she deeply loved her six-year-old SON DYLAN. Christine's loved ones say the way that she died is making her death all the more difficult to take.
"It was just so sudden. You know, for her to go like that, very sudden. For me to receive a call to come to the emergency room and bring your family, it was really sudden and very tragic." said Christine's Aunt Tamara Quinn
Christine came from a family of postal service workers. Both her aunt and uncle who you heard from in that story work for the postal service. Her father has been a letter carriers for some 35 years. Services for Christine haven't been finalized yet.
