St. Louis police reported an assault on two police officers at the St. Patrick's Day street party in the Dogtown neighborhood Wednesday. Police released few details but said the officers suffered only minor injuries; a 26 year old was in custody; pending charges for assault on police officers. Police also arrested another suspect in Dogtown for 3rd degreet assault. There were also 34 citations issued there; 33 for underage drinking; 1 for using a fake "ID".

Even with the bad news, it was St. Pat's Day to remember for at least 101 good reasons, too.

Margaret O'Brien, of South County, turned 101 years old, this March 17th.

"I've been to Germany. I've been to Spain. I've been all over. But I didn't make it to Ireland," O'Brien laughed. Still laughing, she said a relative said she was too old, to go now.

She was celebrating a birthday dinner with grand children and great-grand children at Garvey's in Oakville. Her birthday meal ? A chicken quesadilla as opposed to the traditional corned beef and cabbage.

"Until my daddy died, we had corned beef and cabbage every St. Patrick's day," she said. "Is that what you're having tonight," asked Fox 2's Andy Banker.

"No, I'm not going to have it tonight. I'm tired of it," she said, laughing again.

She had a chicken quesadilla instead; a little wine, too.

Back in Dogtown, people credited police with keeping it an event that was about more than drinking alcohol.

"Yeah , there's been a lot of underage [drinking]," said Ron Miller of St. Louis. "But St. Louis police are on the job. They're cracking down."

A Wentzville woman raised in Ireland said it was more festive here than in her homeland.

"On a normal St. Pat's day they will get up, go to mass, they'll wear their shamrock, go for a drink and then just come home," said Ann Chartier.

She cheered as her granddaughter, McKenna Beene, 5, danced an Irish jig in the middle of Tamm Avenue.

"Erin go bragh, Ireland forver !" Chartier screamed.
