Armed with hot checks an area woman has gone on a shopping spree across the St. Louis. It Police say it began when thieves broke into a car in an Olivette neighborhood and stole a check book.
The woman was caught on surveillance cameras allegedly writing eleven phony checks at eight different stores.
Police say the woman moved quickly from the Olivette and Ladue areas across the river into Alton, Illinois and a Home Depot. From there she hit a Shop and Save, a Schnucks and a Lowes in Granite City. Another Schnucks and a Walgreens in St. Louis county were hit as well.
