Neighborhood Fears Stray Fire From Gun Range
Some Pevely Residents are scared to go into their backyards. They say it comes after finding bullet holes in their siding and on their property. They blame it all on a nearby gun range.

The Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club has been in unincorporated Barnhart for 30 years. About six years ago, developers built the Hunter's Glen Subdivision right next to the gun club's property. Residents say in recent months several homes have been recently hit with stray bullets. They worry one of them or a child may be next.

Residents in the Hunter's Glen subdivision can hear the gunfire all day. When Keith Rodermund bought his house the proximity of the firing range wasn't a concern. Now, Rodermund and several of his neighbors are worried. They say several homes have been hit by stray bullets.

Keith Rodermund says, "Roofs of houses, the water tower, the side of houses, I've heard them say the ricochet goes by them when they are cutting the grass."

One of his neighbors filed a police report after a bullet pierced his Fasia. The report shows the bullet would have had to travel more than a thousand feet to hit his house. POlice told the homeowner the bullet appeared to be from an AK47.

The Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club says it's aware of the residents concerns. Dickerson says they aren't even sure if the ammunition is coming from it's club members. However, the club says it is upgrading security measures and want to work with the neighborhood. Residents just want to be assured that everyone is safe.

The Arnold Rifle and Pistol Club is the second largest gun club in Missouri. They don't want to move from their location and say they want to be good neighbors. They are hoping they're upgraded surveillance system and new protective barriers will prevent future issues.
