A St. Louis woman arrested on theft warrants has died in police custody. Police say the death of Tabatha Williams, 32, was a suicide, but some relatives are finding that difficult to believe. Police arrested Williams Tuesday afternoon, and her cousin claims she says she wasn't feeling well and was eventually "tased" as she argued with officers.

She was eventually taken to South Patrol headquarters where she was being held until she could be transported to the justice center. Police say this is standard procedure.

It was in her holding cell at South Patrol that police say a precinct employee found Williams hanging about an hour later. Police say it appears she used a piece of clothing to hang herself.

Family members dispute the police account of the hanging.

"They're saying that this 5'11 180 to 183 pound young woman hung herself with a bra that she was wearing, and she had the same bra on in the ER," Williams sister Kimberly told FOX 2. "It's not possible to hang yourself with your bra then put the bra on if you're deceased."
