LOUIS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - There has been a huge victory in the fight to give Missouri property owners more say over eminent domain, But an organization of municipal politicians tried to stop it cold. Missourians for property rights is leading a petition drive to change the state constitution. They want to prevent officials from taking private property through eminent domain and giving it to a developer for a private project.

The Missouri Municipal League, an organization of cities and towns, is trying to derail the petition drive. The league sued to stop it but now its lost the lawsuit.
