ST. LOUIS MO(KTVI-FOX2now.com)—
All the players in this year's game took part in a red carpet parade to the game on Tuesday at 2:00pm. It ran down Market Street from Fourth to 8th Streets then south on Stan Musial Drive to Gate 3 of Busch Stadium. Stan "The Man" Musial and other Cardinals Hall-Of-Famers also took part in the parade. The carpet was Cardinal red and so was the crowd.
"(Schankman) Who you waiting to see? (Paradegoer) Albert Pujols."
They would see him eventually but this parade began with the boys of summer in the autumn of their years, the Cardinals Hall of Famers. Each easy to recognize which is more than we can say for some of Tuesday night's players, and that's just the National League. The American League, forgettaboutit. Many parade goers had a hard time identifying the players. This was definitely a Cardinals crowd.
Yadier Molina got the crowd going and then there was Albert.
"Oh I think it is great for St. Louis and I like the way they spruced up the city for the event. It looks real good. Rolled out the red carpet? We did indeed."
