Only months after signing with the Detroit Lions as a free agent, Ronald Curry was traded to the St. Louis Rams.

Curry, a Hampton native and ex-Hampton High and North Carolina standout, went to the Rams in a trade for defensive tackle Orien Harris, himself a recent acquisition for St. Louis.

Curry, 30, is a seven-year NFL veteran who spent his entire career with the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders released him in February, after which he signed with the Lions.
