Over the weekend 6 Missouri Tigers heard their named called during the NFl Draft. A year ago, Will Franklin, a Vashon grad and Mizzou star was picked by the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the beginning of the NFL dream, but there has been a detour.
For Franklin, Saturday's Draft brought back memories from last year ago. He was on hand to support his friend, Jeremy Maclin, as his draft day unfolded on national television. Franklin has shared his life lessons with Maclin. The Vashon graduate was a 4th round draft pick of Kansas City, but was placed on waivers after just one season. Franklin is now headed for Detroit, where former Rams head coach Scott Linehan serves as the Lions Offensive coordinator.
